Within the framework of the Erasmus + project "Lifelong learning for sustainable development", a methodological seminar was held at the site of the Kazakh National Agrarian University (Almaty).
Leading scientists from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Poland), Jagiellonian University (Poland), the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Austria), the Coimbra Polytechnic Institute (Portugal), the Dublin Institute of Technology (Ireland) delivered presentations at the seminar.
The universities of the Russian Federation were represented by the scientists from Moscow State University of Food Products, Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography,the Russian State University of Land Management, the Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K.A. Timiryazev, Omsk State Service Institute, Tula State University, Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk).
Tkachenko O.V., associate professor of "Crop production, Selection and Genetics" department, Terekhova N.N., associate professor of "Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling" department, Gusakova N.N., professor of “Botany, Chemistry and Ecology” department took part in the seminar on behalf of FSBEE HE Saratov SAU.
The universities of Kazakhstan were widely represented:the Kazakh National Agrarian University (Almaty),Taraz State University, Kazakh State Agrotechnological University named after S.Seyfullin,Western Kazakhstan Agrotechnological University named after Zhangirkhan, Kustanay State University named after A. Baytursynov, Kazakh Agency of Applied Ecology.
The general and regional objectives of the project and the structure of the modules, target groups of trainees, the specifics of the creation of the Anglo-Russian-Kazakh dictionary on the terminology of sustainable development were discussed at general and sectional meetings. Besides, the need to create an electronic database of all training modules, development of mechanisms to ensure quality control of knowledge and practical skills within the framework of "green education" is updated.
At the final meeting it was summarized that the materials of this seminar will contribute to the expansion of spheres and directions of ecologization of knowledge and skills of not only university students, but also employers, as well as agricultural producers, and will strengthen mutual understanding between countries and peoples for sustainable development.
