"Let's get acquainted!". 1 year foreign students on a city tour

On September 26, 2019, as part of the celebration of World Tourism Day, first-year foreign students from the Saratov State Agrarian University from South Africa, Tajikistan and other countries took part in a study tour in the center of Saratov “Let's meet!”, Organized by the Administration of the City of Saratov municipal administration with the assistance of the head of the department for organizational work and socialization of foreign students A. Panfilov, curator of the VT-107 group Simanina Yu.B. and representatives of the Five Continents International Club.

A walking tour of the city center introduced freshmen to the architecture of ancient and modern Saratov. They learned a lot of interesting things about the life of the city in which they have to study for several years, about its past and present. During a walk through the center of Saratov, along the old streets and alleys, the students' attention was attracted by monuments to famous historical figures, whose biography was briefly told by the guide Irina Ardaziani, an employee of the City Center named after P.A. Stolypin. Monument P.A. Stolypin, A.N. Art Museum Radishchev, the building of the former gymnasium A. Kufeld (2nd building of the museum A.N. Radishchev), the mansion of D.M. Vakurov, a monument to N.G. Chernyshevsky, Saratov State Conservatory named after L.V. Sobinova, Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Satisfy My Sorrows”, City Park “Lipki”, Volzhskaya pedestrian street — these and other sights that our city is rich in did not leave indifferent the “recruits” of the SSAU who came to receive education at our university.
