Cosmonautics Day at the Landing Site of Yu.A. Gagarin

On April 12, foreign students from the preparatory department of the IIEP, together with the teachers, visited the landing site of the world's first cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, in Engels District.

Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman cosmonaut in the world, Hero of the Soviet Union, and Valery Radaev, Governor of the Saratov region, became guests of honor of the holiday.

According to the tradition, a solemn meeting was held on this day near the monument to the first cosmonaut of the planet. At the end of the rally, autocross competitions and demonstrations of athletes were held. Also, a large cultural and entertainment program was presented for guests of the holiday with the participation of creative teams and national associations of Engels. The aerobatics program completed the festive air show.

Foreigners of our university with great interest and excitement took part in various competitions and sports competitions held at the event.
