Interclub meeting dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the lifting of the blockade of Leningrad

On the 30th of January, 2019 at 15:00 in audience No. 357 SGAU (UK No. 1) the enlarged meeting of Interсlub took place: "A feat of 13 employees of All-Union institute of crop production in a blockade Leningrad", devoted to Day of lifting the blockade of Leningrad.

Foreign listeners watched the presentation and the movie about the blockade of Leningrad and about the feat made by the staff of All-Union institute of crop production who despite the hunger, kept rare grades of grain and seeds which were collected for many years and were brought from the different countries by the academician-selector, the botanist Nikolay Ivanovich Vavilov.

After the presentation all listeners discussed what was seen, being surprised to people who lived 900 days in the blockade city. They penetrate patriotism, heroism of these people and their iron will. Real heroes who in the blockade city, despite titanic work and deprivations, in conditions of military operations, daily shellings, cold and hunger, did not give up and kept the most rare, invaluable collection for future generation!
