Participation in the III International Congress at PFUR

In the period from October 16 to October 18, the III International Congress of Teachers and Heads of Preparatory Faculties (Departments) of Russian Higher Education Institutions “Pre-University Stage of Education in Russia and the World: Language, Adaptation, Society, and Specialty” was held at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, in which our employees participated .

Within the framework of the Congress, for three full days, round tables, sectional sessions, master classes, discussion platforms, as well as the 4th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Actual Issues of the Implementation of Educational Programs at Preparatory Faculties for Foreign Citizens” were held.

At the plenary meeting and in the following days, acute questions of legislative and normative support of the educational process at preparatory faculties were repeatedly raised, the difficulties of recruiting foreign citizens and their language in conditions of limited training time were discussed. Teachers and heads of preparatory structures of universities from 57 cities of Russia, as well as representatives of educational organizations of Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Turkey, Hungary and other countries presented teaching aids and methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language, discussed the difficulties of adaptation and socialization of foreign citizens.

The Congress resolution prepared an appeal to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education with a proposal to update the legal framework of the status of teachers of preparatory faculties and training of foreign citizens, to consider making amendments and additions to the Federal Law "On Education" regarding the definition of additional general educational programs taking into account the specifics pre-vocational training of foreign citizens.
