The students of the preparatory department were shown the film “The Battle of Sevastopol”

Last Friday, the first meeting of foreign students of the preparatory department within the framework of the film club "Conversation" took place. Foreigners watched the military historical feature film “The Battle of Sevastopol” directed by Sergey Mokritsky, shot in 2015. The film was not chosen by chance - on November 7, 1941, despite heavy fighting, a military parade was held on Red Square in Moscow, raising the spirit of the Soviet people in difficult times for the country.

The film tells about the fate of the legendary woman sniper, Hero of the Soviet Union, Lieutenant Lyudmila Pavlichenko, who destroyed 309 fascist soldiers and officers during the Great Patriotic War.

Before the film begins, the head of the department of pre-university training A.V. Panfilov opened some pages of Russian history to foreigners, briefly talked about the Great Patriotic War and its significance for every Soviet person.

The following meetings of the cinema club are planned:
- showing films of domestic cinema to foreign students of the preparatory department with the aim of increasing their language practice and cultural adaptation;
- showing foreign films of those countries whose representatives are students of SSAU, in order to familiarize themselves with the culture and art of these countries;
- showing films in foreign languages ​​in order to improve their knowledge of foreign languages.
